A resource person from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund ( TETFUND ), Mr Linus C. Emeghara , has adjudged Moshood Abiola Polytechnic , Abeokuta’ s E -Library facilities as the best among tertiary institutions in Ogun State .
He made this known during a workshop on EBSCO Host Database Training for MAPOLY staff at the E -library Centre , which is a section of the Salawu Abiola Memorial Library of the Institution .
Emeghara , who commended Management of the polytechnic , stressed that MAPOLY had more than 12 resources in e- books and journals covering all subjects and disciplines .
He urged the members of the staff of the institution to take advantage of the e- library facilities to improve on their researches, teaching and learning skills .
The Registrar, Mr . Emmanuel Adeleye , while addressing the participants disclosed that , MAPOLY had invested a lot of money to collaborate with agencies in some training and retraining programmes for members of its staff . He urged them to justify the investment by reflecting on their respective schedule of duties .
Adeleye noted that the recent focus of the management of the institution on Information Technology training for both academic and non -academic staff was aimed at repositioning the polytechnic for future challenges .
While declaring the seminar open, the Acting Rector of the polytechnic , Ayodeji Tella , appreciated TETFUND for its huge investment in educational development in Nigeria. He advised the staff of the institution to take advantage of the training to improve the system .
