Pat Attang captures life of a prostitute’s daughter in Doratti

Pat Attang

Model, actress and producer, co-owner of PAAB World Entertainment Limited, films of her own. Humility or whatever it is aside, Pat may very well be the most prolific and creative producer in Nollywood and her latest film ‘Doratti 1 & 2’ which hit the market on Monday is another credit to her kitty. Written by Pat herself and co-produced by Arsenal Bruno, the film brings to life travails of a girl who has a mother the whole village knew as a prostitute. The girl Doratti played by Pat spends most of her harried life defending the honour of her mother (Ngozi Ezeonu) and had to be forced to turn to a tomboy of sort. For Doratti, life was thoroughly eventful as she was always involved in one fight or the other over treatment being meted out to her mother, whom, in the villagers’ eyes, was still a prostitute even though she was long retired. “You know how it is in the village, once a prostitute, always a prostitute, Nwa Akunna. No one wanted to appreciate that it was her past life and in every facet of her life there was a constant reminder of who she was,” says Pat in a telephone chat with Potpourri. “The film is full of suspense and drama. It is a blend of drama, comedy and action,” she added. Scripted by Emma Iyaka, and directed by Vincent the Anointed, the film was launched on Saturday, June 2, 2018. Many notable Nollywood stars graced the occasion. Pete Edochie, Annie Idibia, Belinda Effah, Keppy Ekpeyong and many others were amongst those who graced the private screening which held in Enugu
