Fuel Scarcity: Marketer Attacks Task Force In Ondo

Members of the Anti Hoarding Committee set up by the  Ondo State Government to monitor and ensure that petroleum products are not diverted or sold above regulated price were attacked on Sunday 28th January, 2018, at the Heroes Filling station, Akure.

The Committee headed by Dr Doyin Odebowale,  Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Strategy and  Special Duties has gone out to enforce compliance when the Director of the Heroes Filling Station sent hoodlums after them leaving a member, Mr Ayodele Gbenga Oladimeji brutally wounded.

Ondo State people, particularly residents of Akure have been experiencing untold hardship since last December when fuel scarcity resurfaced. But the State Government has vowed  to put a stop to diversion, hoarding and overpricing which makes life almost unbearable for the people.

Last week, Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN met with representatives of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN in a view to finding a lasting solution to the lingering fuel crisis in the State.
