Buhari Is Not Responding To Treatment At All - Villa Doctor

A high placed source in the presidential villa has on Sunday revealed to Post-Nigeria that President Muhammadu Buhari is not responding to treatment, hence the urgent call by the president medical team to allow the president to have enough rest.

In an exclusive chat with Post-Nigeria correspondent, the source said: ‘’ the president is dying slowly. He is not responding to treatment. That is why the team of medical doctors have advice to take things easy.  Buhari deserve a rest because the burden of the office is enormous.’’

He added that the decision of Buhari to stay away from the public glare until he fully recovered was basically based on doctor’s advice; hence he would be working from home.

Also reacting, a source said that Nigerians did not vote Buhari to work from home, warning that the current development is a dangerous reminder of what happened in 2010.

“I am also bothered, to put it mildly because we have travelled this road before. Remember during the tenure of the late President Musa Yar’Adua, a minister would come up and say the President has signed the 2010 budget, but nobody saw the President do it. Remember a number of decisions were allegedly made by him but nobody saw him make them. Yar’Adua died shortly thereafter.

“Fast forward to the present day, when the suspended SGF, Bubachir Lawal asked ‘who is the Presidency?’ That question has not been answered. And we have a President we neither see nor hear from, but on Fridays when he goes to pray.

“We want to see our President engage people about the economy, talk to the governors, and others on the state affairs. A chief security officer said Mr. President can work from home or rule from anywhere. That is wrong. Nobody elected Mr. President to work from home. Nobody. All he should have done was to send a letter to the National Assembly that ‘I’m not well, let the Vice President continue as Acting President.’ Very simple. No story about it.”

In  his own reaction, the President of Civil Liberty Organisation, Igho Akergha wondered how the President, who was said to been resting at home, will now be attending to files on national issues. He called on the President to resign if his health cannot sustain the pressure of work, adding that Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the Presidency has ruled out the possibility of Buhari resigning his position over his ill health as being suggested by some Nigerians.

In an interview with journalists in Lagos on Friday, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said those calling for the President’s resignation was merely expressing their opinion.

According to him, the views of over 15 million Nigerians that voted for the President were more important than such opinions, while expressing confidence that God would fully restore Buhari’s health.
