Rising hip-hop star, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade known by his stage name, Mr Eazi has emerged winner of the next rated artiste in the Headies award which was held on 22nd December, 2016. The singer beat Humblesmith, Ycee, and Aramide, to the most sought after award and smiled home with a brand new SUV.
Tekno who was nominated for the same category was disqualified few days ago because he failed to participating in any of the required pre-awards activities.
Mr Eazi is a Nigerian Afrobeat singer based in Ghana since 2007. The “Holl UP” singer is signed to Wizkid’s StarBoy Worldwide label, and has collaborated with famous names in the Ghanaian music industry, such as Sarkodie,Efya and Pappy Kojo.
Recall that 2015 Headies Next Rated Artist Award caused a lot of controversies in the music industry especially between Olamide Badoo and Mavins’ boss, after Reekado Banks was announced as the Next Rated.
